Our beautiful Blas is now on loan in Wimborne, Dorset - out of all my 4 he had the best barefoots of all.  Is there a trimmer nearby that I could recommend to his new family?

Well I am not qualified but I trim my own horse, plus one or two friends horses, I always say I do it on a good samaritan basis. I am also threatetening to stop trimming their horses unless they read Feet First. A couple of them took me seriously!!

The nearest I get to Dorset is when I trim a friends horse near Twyford in Hants.

Basically trimming for me is a necessity turned into a hobby, as there are no trimmers who regularly cover East Berks, or Hants as far as I am aware, so I guess we can add these to Dorset as trimmer free zones.

There used to be someone who advertised themselves in Hants - but as I don't live there I never kept track.

Kent does have a couple of trimmers, one AANHCP and the other one is EP - but I still do my own and  another.

My ex Farrier used to declare my neds feet perfect, when I knew they were not and when I started trimming them myself he didn't notice - just thought they were self trimming.   Shocked

I don't know if she'll travel that far but Caroline Andresen has been a great help to me www.aanhcpbarefoot.co.uk .  She hasn't trimmed them so I can't vouch for that, I'm hoping to keep my farrier, but she has come out to Shaftesbury and seen them, and been a great help both telephone and email.

There are a couple of EPA trimmers who might cover that patch.

http://www.epauk.org/findep.php

And a couple of Somerset / Dorset based IIEP trimmers

She probably will, has been to my yard and seen my mares feet on 2 occasions in the past. But the call out fee just kills it!
She's very passionate! I never mentioned it cos wont sure we could on here her being from another branch.

Thanks to all for the replies - I will pass them onto Blas's new caretakers for her reference.  Lovely stuff.
