Most of you know Shadows story and my frustration but he hasn't come sound enough to work and so I am looking to try and find him a nice companion home, (for those of you who don't know, he is a blue roan welsh cob, 15.1hh and he has navicular in his fronts which I was trying to rehab, but he was diagnosed with spavin in both hocks in summer and has been treated for this with a small measure of success.)

Shadow is happy to live out unrugged, 24/7 but comes in just as happily if thats what is required of him...as long as he has food he's in heaven!!!  He is a good doer and would make a good companion for a laminitic as he does show some signs of lgl himself.  He loves to play in the field with Drummer and Billy but you can tell when he has over done it as he comes in a bit stiff and pottery, other than that he shows no major lameness, he is just very short, landing toe first and slightly awkward looking.

Phillipa, his ex owner, and I have discussed this and although she would like to have him return to her, we are looking for a temporary or permanent home, depending on the situation, we would not move him if he was happy.

I would also like to add that if any of you with more experience than me would like to give him one last try at soundness then I think he deserves it.

If I didn't have to pay £25 a week for his livery he could stay with me

He has teeth, jabs and wormer up to date.

A pic of the guy for you back in summer, now he is a totally black wooly bear.

Laughing he is, especially with his winter coat Very Happy

He is a very affectionate horse, not like Drummer at all, he likes to lick you and is always standing at the gate 2 minutes after you arrive!

If you hear of anything........................
