My eyesight is not so good these days and its late in the day.  Found this picture on a barefoot blog today. Horse was temporarily shod.  Is it my eyes or are at least some of those nail holes inside the white line?  Apparently the horse 'wasn't right', so the shoes came off.  For my own education only - please will someone who knows about nail holes comment.

ouch!!!!!

The front two  nail holes do appear to be inside the white line and the rest are in it. No wonder the horse was unhappy!  Shocked

Thanks cptrayes - I was wondering if it was just me.  Its been so long since I have regularly seen a shod/recently deshod foot (except Grace) that I was a bit flummoxed (gob smacked even).  And I must must must get my eyes done  Embarassed

Definitely - nail holes are also very far forward and there are an awful lot of them.

I noticed the number too.  And what is it going on with the right heel?

Horrible for the horse, but an example of what can go wrong with farriery.

May have been shod, lost shoe and then reshod with nail holes in slightly forward.

Lordy...must be giving nails away 2 for the price of 1

Farriers in Aberdeen would never waste nails like that!
