Hi All

I need everyones help to find my girl a new home this year, she is a wonderful horse who will turn her hoof to absolutely anything, so if you know of someone who wants a barefooter then please get in touch. A few words from the girl herself:-

My name is Grace and I am a 15.3h, bright bay IDxTB and I am 11 years old. I am looking for a barefoot home with a competent rider, I am happy to be a hack/pleasure horse or as a competition horse. Jumping is my thing! I have a very bold, confident jump that needs bringing on.

I am a sweet natured mare; I have good manners and no stable vices. I am good in traffic, we live on a farm so I am used to farm vehicles and animals!!! I used to live in the city so I am also used to lots of traffic too.

I am very easy to load, I am very nosy and like going to different places, I struggle a bit to balance in a trailer so I can get a bit sweaty but no problems in a horse box.

I am a good doer; mum only really gives me hay and some herbs during the winter, during the summer I get as much grass as I want and I do put on weight but not much to be concerned about.

I had my shoes taken off 2.5 years ago and haven’t had a day off due to my feet, I go over all terrains with no problems. I do wear boots occasionally just to keep them from wearing too much.

I have been with my present mum for 2 years; she is a qualified trimmer and does a great job with my feet. I am presently a happy hack but we have been working on my flatwork skills. Before my mum bought me I had a foal and was out at pasture so needed brining back into work gradually as I had lost a bit of condition.

I am doing great, I am very soft in the mouth and I like my jointed curved snaffle as I have a big tongue and a small mouth so I need the room! I am very sensitive to seat aids and I am forward going. I am currently ridden in a Phoenix SBS.

I am in excellent health, teeth are done every 6 months, feet when needed, back checked, I get equine massage and TTOUCH on a regular basis and essential oils when needed.

My mum loves me dearly but has decided to emigrate to Australia to be a barefoot trimmer. She did think about taking me but its way too hot there for an Irish girl and I like the cold so it wasn’t for me.

Most of all I am looking for lots of love, I love my mum very much but I know she has to go. She says the home is much more important than price and that I come with all my rugs/bridle/bit/Old Mac G2’s. I currently live in West Yorkshire and if my new home is in the Yorkshire/lancs area then she will also come and trim my feet until she leaves for free!!!!!

My mum is not moving until Jan 2009 but she would like to see me rehomed in the Spring/Summer so that I can settle into my new life and I can get to know my new mummy or daddy.

Thanks to everyone!

Grace is going to live with an old friend of mine. We used to stable our horses at our last yard. Grace and Sammy did everything together and became a bit of an item.

She moved away when I did to a lovely farm and built stables. Grace will be living out full time with her old flame.......could not be better.

Well shit happens and my friend has just found out she is pregnant so Grace needs to find another home!!!!

As far as I am concerned she can go to a home for free as long as its right for her.

Yes - finally after a couple of loan homes she is going on saturday to a lovely lady in Wales.......she really is the perfect Mummy and Grace will be surrounded by mountains to explore for miles around.

She also has other horse/ponies so she will be in a small herd.....perfect!!!! Very Happy
