He's called Bad Boy, he came out of racing 5 weeks ago, and he's the complete opposite to what your imagining. He is 16hh and 5 years old. He has a wonderful temperament - friendly and gentle with a sunny outlook on life. He is totally chilled out and anyone could ride him as he is very sensible and willing, but doesn't go any faster than he has to. His flatwork is coming on nicely (walk, trot, canter in nice outline and good lateral work - other half rode him last year while he was on hols from racing, so he already knows a bit) and he has a good (if slightly green) jump. He is a great hack.
He spent his last 2 months in racing on box rest because of corns?! When I took the shoes off he had black holes where the seat of corn should be, one of which had a bit of infection. Within a week he was completely comfortable and we have hacked him out barefoot (avoiding stones for now).
It would be great if he could go to a home where he could stay barefoot and have a chance to grow great feet. He is advertised at £1950, but I'm open to offers, especially to a barefoot home.
I LOVE him!! Reminds me of an ex-racehorse I used to ride when I was a teenager. You wouldn't consider a loan with view to buy would you? No cash at the moment - but eventually hubby can be persuaded to part with some!!

I'm in the same position as you - no money, so really need to sell him so everyone else can keep eating. Its horrid being like that with them, I'd keep them all myself if I could.
Happily we found bad boy a lovely home as a confidence giving hack for the mum of an experienced horsey family. I don't expect he will stay barefoot, but at least it was the perfect home in all other ways.
