Apple Cider VinegarHi - is it OK to add the apple cider vinegar to the hay-soaking trough? My two are only getting dry supplements, hay, and haylage, so I don't have a "feed" to add it to. I appreciate some of you are seeing the same queries over and again, and I'm sure there was a thread on ACV at some point but I can't see it!
Some good news - although still lame, the horse's heels are definately changing from chicken fat to rubber on the end of the pencil. hurrah!

It is high in potassium and I thought that was a no no for lammi prone horses - but I stand to be corrected. I think this is the reason clover is bad as this is also high in potassium ??!!

I glug it into the drinking water bath (we're too posh to have a trough, we have a cast iron enameled bath!) Seems to keep the algae down too.
There is a 20 month colt on the other side of the fence and he just can't get enough of it! Loves the stuff.

Could be why I couldn't find any mention of it in THE book, otherwise known as my bible. Should've known.
