Archie is a recently retired racehorse. He has suffered a minor tendon strain and the trainer has decided that he would be better to start a new life as a pleasure horse. He has a lovely temperment although I would perhaps describe him as a little shy Embarassed

He is 10 yo and stands at approx 15.2hh, he has won around £30k and is eligible for all ex-racehorse classes. he is currently shod and his tendon would benefit hugely from him being barefoot.
The yard that he is currently stabled at makes lots of effort to give their horses a normal life to make the transition from racer to riding horse as easy as possible, their horses tend to be easy to do all day to day things with, most of them have hacked and travelled alone and all have been mounted from a mounting block.

And the hooves??? You see I am never interested in heads always the feet! :0) Was he a flat racer or jump?

Mostly flat but did do some hurdling. The feet.............. Rolling Eyes

they're pretty much as you'd expect from a racer, not what you'd call great but then that's where the fun is Laughing

Must remember to get feet pictures next time.
