Cheap Seaweed!Visited my local supplier yesterday who have a NAF stand - lo and behold they were promoting seaweed in 2kg bags for £7.49 - same price as I paid for 1kg from others. Smells just like the beach too. Bargain!

That's a shocking price Doris - I buy it for £17 for 20KG from my local Agri store which works out at 80p a kilo as opposed to your £3.50 a kilo!!
If you can buy yeast the same way too it is a lot cheaper. My local Agri store does brewers yeast at £2.50 per Kg.
Stick a picture of a horse on it and they can charge what they like!

Blimey! What's your store called? I'll see if we have a similar here in Wilts.

Norvite - it's very good indeed - but I think it is local to North East Scotland.
Try a local Harbro or just ask a farmer where to get that kind of stuff. You'l find that some of the better Agri stores are also great places to get buckets, brushes, tools, waterproofs, wellies and all the things you need for winter - at a fraction of the price of horsey shops.
And you get some really useful hints from them- I picked up a bag of orange castrating bands which cost 99p and put them on the T bars of every single rug I have - and the surcingles never come undone now. The same bag has done for almost everyone else in the yard too - and they never get damaged rugs from surcingles coming undone and getting torn. Saved quite a lot really in the long run.

I reckon ours would be Mole Valley Farmers - they sell all that sort of stuff but I don't think I've seen supps. I'll have a good look this week. Thanks for the top tip!

charnwood would send you a 20kg bag, the postage isnt too bad and it lasts forever..
unless like me your pony breaks into feed area, and drags seaweed into the mud and stamps it into the ground...

I was going to suggest Charnwood milling as well, at £28.13 for 25kg, it's pretty good value. I can't find a agri store that is near me and sells seaweed. I have got a bag of the linseed meal from Charnwood and by my calculation, it's going last me about 2 years!

oh dear me, this made me giggle! The things that they do! You're always mad but at the same time you want to laugh at them too!

Brilliant! Cos I had a good search about at MVF plus experienced very grumpy unhelpful monosyllabic staff, and no product. I'll get onto Charnwood today. And yes we have the 13.2 pone who is impervious to electric fence and can undo every lock on the planet, who then heads for the 4 feed bins and every supplement bucket, and chucks the lot on the floor after having had a good nosh. She then invites the other in who completely trash the place. Always after I've just had a big delivery too, so only just spent the money! Arrrrrrrrgh . . . Yet she still gets cuddles - can't resist those eyes . . .
