Conto 16hh Warmblood gelding - for saleConto was sent to us as a rehab horse earlier this year as he had been lame for several months. He had terrible feet and old injuries, and had muscle wastage from a poorly fitting saddle.In 6 months he has improved beyond all recognition - you can see details at www.rockleyfarm.co.uk/conto.html He is now back in work, and is ready to go to a new home, but we are in no rush and it will have to be exactly the right one 
The positives: He is a lovely horse to hack out, responsive and with very comfortable paces. He is forward-going but very polite and is equally well-behaved on his own or in company (we hack him out in a rubber snaffle). He has been very well-schooled, and is bombproof in traffic. He is good to handle and patient with dogs, puppies, cattle, sheep, donkeys, goats, chickens etc - you name it! We have just started jumping him again, and he is behaving impeccably, but only at lower heights for now at least. The negatives: he still has lumps and bumps on 2 legs from old injuries. He is sound and working 5 times a week at the moment, but might not cope with more intensive work. His lumps and bumps do not bother him at all but will probably never go. His feet are much improved but not yet perfect, and will need to be maintained barefoot, as shoeing caused him lots of problems. Pics of him below and there are more details on the website. Nic Edited to add: He is 11 years old and was bred in Germany and was imported from the Netherlands when he was (I think) 6 years old. He has showjumped and evented in the past.
