Intresting. But I was to believe alfalfa was not good for barefoot horses

I think some horses have trouble with the flash dried alfalfa chop type feeds but are OK with something like alfalfa pellets. It could be something to do with the mould inhibitors in the chaff ?

not all alfalfa chaffs created equal. Not only are mould inhibitors a potential problem for some, but flash dried alfalfa is higher in sugar according to some analyses out there.
