A friend of mine down the road is sporting a lovely red nose and bruised eye after she was hoiking up the girth and her hand slipped off the saddle strap - smashing her own nose with her fist.
I think she sees the funny side of it now. But it is the second time for her.
Pity we don't have a word for it in English - laughing at other people's misfortunes. Makes you wonder why we have never needed one and the Germans do?
