This is really interesting....
My kids would be well impressed if I got some of these....

For about 8 years I have refused to wear anything but those black plimsols that you have to get the kids for gym, and that they never wear.... (except in really bad/wet/extreme cold weather and then I wear too big wellies...)

It began one day when a pair were sitting by the door doing nothing and I had to nip out to the car, so I put them on just because.... and since then I have been a total convert... it's pretty much like being barefoot, but with slight sole protection... and just as an added bonus the last pair was 75p!
These gloves look better as they would allow the foot to move even more... may give them a try... but, they'd have to be really good for me to switch from my cheap, black dappers.... Smile

I have recently read Born To Run by Christopher Mcdougall.
Its about his journey to find out why his feet hurt when running. He discovers the Tarahumara tribe from the Copper Canyons of Mexico who are the best runners in world and are barefoot.

When I try to walk barefoot up my very stoney drive my feet land ball first not heel first as they would in shoes. Also my stride is much shorter - even on smooth surfaces which dont hurt. I pay more attention to the foot on the ground rather than where I am putting next one. All very interesting!!

My Horse has moved to a yard on the moors and is having no problem with this unadultarated grass. Last year he was mostly imprisoned due to a near miss with laminitis. Apparently when Defra man saw this land he was in raptures about the number of wildflower and grass species.

Shame I dont own it!

When Pickles died I needed something to distract me.  So I started decorating plimsolls (go figure!  Embarassed )

My back, hips and knees have never looked back.  Although being in TW some people take pity on the 'poor' girl who can't afford 'proper' shoes.

I am wearing the Vibram's almost constantly now. I find that the freedom they give my toes seems to make the difference to the way my foot works and therefore my posture.  I still can't believe going barefoot can make such a difference to me.

Last week I was at a 2 day horse course  Normally I would have had to take heavy duty pain killers to make it through, this time none!  As long as I pootle round in my Vibram's looking weird I am great.

If you watch the video link from You Tube on the above page on my website and look at the womans posture and how her back changes shape when she is in trainers this might explain why I am finding barefoot is working.

Cool stuff!  I believe in them so much now I am going to buy a pair of Vibram boots for winter!

That's ace - are you going to 'case study' yourself on your website as a barefoot rehab case Wink ?
