Thermography Clinics

Hi all,

Hans Arendse, who did the thermography presentation at the conference, and scanned some of my horses for me (with fascinating results!) has emailed me to say he will be able to come back and run thermography days in the UK on a regular basis if people are interested.

Having seen it in action, I would say it is fantastically useful either as a clinical diagnostic tool, for use with your vet, or for saddle fit or even niggling "don't think he's quite right but not sure where or why" issues.

The days would need to be run at a yard where there is either an indoor school or an American barn, as an ambient temperature is essential, and there would probably need to be at least 5 or 6 horses on the day to make it worth Hans' while to travel.

If you're interested, post on here to give us an idea of numbers and locations.

For the north - you could try here

There is also Myerscough College, Osbaldeston EC.

Reaseheath College (Cheshire) is where I am doing my Fdn Degree in Equine Science, Complementary Therapies and Natural Horsemanship. I have a tutorial with the course leader on Thursday - if you could forward me details, I could approach them for an expression of interest.

I'm certain I could get a day together at Beaver Hall, which is a specialist rehabilitation livery yard near hear, with treatment rooms available.

What about the south east?
Plumpton College in East Sussex could be a great host, i have a few contacts there, will ask if they would be interested.
They are an equine training college, with horses in training liveries, could certainly rustle up more local guinea pigs with 4 hooves....
